Madras Institute of Hotel Management
and Catering Technology
The Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust under it’s educational actitivies established the Madras Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in 1996. The institute is located in Karapakkan, near Chennai and is affiliated to Alagappa University Karaikudia.
It has an A grade accreditation from the NAAC (National Assesment and Accreditation Council) and has also been rated No.1 amongst Hotel Management Institutes in the state of Tamil Nadu from March 2017 to 2010 by the Competition Success Review Magazine.
In 2013, the Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust entered into a collaboration with Sree Annamalaiyar Educational Trust to run the adminatrative and functional activities of the institution.
Mr. P. Navamani is the Managing Trustee and the key person behind running the institution currently.
The academic programs offered by the institute have been structured to groom the young aspirants as thoroughbred professionals, capable of living to the international standards that the Indian hotel industry has established. The Saraswathi trust offers guidance and support, and scholarships to underprivileged students in the institution.
