Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust has been rendering assistance to displaced Kashmiris in Jagati and other camps for last three years by conducting Job Fairs, providing text books, sports and gym equipment for youth and giving marriage and other assistance to migrants. The trust is exempted by IT Department under sec 80G as well as approved by Home Ministry for receiving Foreign Contributions.
While so it was noticed that in dire circumstances of death, funerals, emergency relief, accidents, marriage of widows daughters, educational expenses of single parent students there is no provision available under the government’s rehabilitation programme.
Thus, the trust has resolved to start ‘Project Vitasta Welfare Fund’ by providing INR 5 lakhs initially and then going for a worldwide fund raising campaign with an objective to create a corpus of INR 10 Crores for meeting their following needs:
Health
Medical Emergency, accidents, emergency medicines for Jagati hospital
Education
Text books, tuition fee etc, for single parent students, augmentation of book-bank and library.
Youth
Job Fairs, Counselling, Mentoring, soft skills and vocational training, Drug use prevention, Gym and sports equipment
Widows and destitute
Marriage assistance to widow’s daughters
Funeral expenses for the destitute.
Fund will be administered in collaboration with Help-Line Humanity a respectable and sincere Jammu based NGO.
